Dec 7, 2017 · Sent it in to Ruger and got it back a week later with a new trigger, springs, etc. Take it to the range the second time and it shoots great. A nice gun to shoot. Problem again. A new problem on a brand new gun. Now it's the slide. With the slide locked back, load a mag into the well, the slide releases and loads the chamber all on its own.

Use a 3/32" pin punch and remove the crosspin that holds the ejector assembly in place - take care as there is a spring under tension on the right hand side of the assembly. Today was the second time I was able to take my new Max 9 out to the range. The first time I did, the slide wasn't able to return to battery via slingshoting it.
