Elden ring backstep iframes

Trying to rebind some keys for my controller, but when I go to settings, Elden ring includes Dodge roll, Backstep and Run/Dash all on the same key, I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to separate these actions, (ex: I'd like Dodge to be on its own key, like a back paddle button on my controller and Run and backstep still bound to the B button.

since backstep has no i-frames is it bad or just situational? many enemies will stay locked onto you if you try to dodge an attack too early therefore using the back step in these situation makes no sense and in other situations i can think of i dont see how a simple roll isn't better or if you want retaliation just counter attack after blocking.Elden Ring Gameplay.
