The CS 70 instructor over the summer is usually like a graduate student or something along those lines. They are pretty happy to be there and can relate to students more than the typical semester 70 professors. One more note. I had a friend that failed CS 70 in the semester and retook it in the summer and got like a B+ or something.

You must have taken CS 61A, Math 1A and Math 1B (or equivalents). If you struggled with any of these courses, you should probably take Math 55 instead of CS 70 as CS 70 is likely to be more conceptual in nature.
